BothSurah Al Imran and the Firm Heart: Its Virtues, Its Key Verses and Its Reflections
The Prophet ﷺ named Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Al Imran together as the two bright ones, and said they would come on the Day of Resurrection like two clouds, shading those who recited them. This book is about the second of the pair, and it is Book 2 in the series that began with The Power of Surah Al-Baqarah.
Surah Al Imran was revealed around two hard trials: a debate that tested the mind, and the defeat at Uhud that broke the heart. Its answer to both is firmness. This book walks through the surah and shows what makes it special and what it does for the one who lives with it. It keeps the heart from slipping, with the du’a the surah itself teaches. It shows a family that gave everything, from the vow of Imran’s wife to Maryam’s provision in the prayer niche and Zakariyya’s du’a after decades of waiting. It sits with the believers after Uhud and shows how Allah pardoned those who failed. It teaches hasbunallahu wa ni’mal-wakil, holding fast to the rope of Allah together, and giving what you love. And it ends under the night sky with the last ten verses, which the Prophet ﷺ recited when he woke at night.
Every verse is given in Arabic as it appears in the Madinah Mushaf, with its meaning from the Saheeh International translation and its reference. Every hadith is given with its source and grading. The book closes with simple reading plans, a weekly tracker, and a way to memorize the surah’s last ten verses.
