Tree Trunk Tears

Tree Trunk Tears is the fifth book of the Stories of Faith series from Sakeena Press, a collection of illustrated children’s books inspired by the Qur’an and authentic hadith.

In the Prophet’s ﷺ mosque in Medina stood a simple palm trunk. Every Friday, the Prophet ﷺ leaned on it as he spoke to the people, and the trunk treasured being close to him. Then the companions built a new wooden pulpit, and the trunk was left behind. That Friday, the whole mosque heard it cry.

Based on the well-known hadith of the weeping palm trunk, this gentle picture book tells how the Prophet ﷺ answered its sorrow with mercy. Soft watercolor illustrations and short, rhythmic lines make it a lovely read-aloud for families and classrooms.

The story ends with a simple lesson for young hearts: if even a tree could miss the Prophet ﷺ and feel his love, we can stay close to him too by following his ways and sending him peace and blessings.
